What is the difference between cast aluminum billet and extruded aluminum bar?

Aluminum billet casting process includes melting, purification, impurity removal, degassing, slag removal and casting processes.

The main process is:

  • Alloying:

Calculate the amount of various alloy components according to the specific alloy grades that need to be produced, and reasonably match various raw materials.

  • Melting:

The prepared raw materials are charged into the melting furnace for melting according to the process requirements, and the impurities and gases in the melting are effectively removed by degassing and slag refining processing.

  • Casting:

The molten aluminum liquid is cooled and cast into various round casting billets under a certain casting process condition through a deep well casting system.

Extruded aluminum bars production process:

The aluminum bar production line is roughly divided into a melting, casting, extrusion molds, the extrusion workshop, aging process, packaging, and finished product warehouse.

The total production process: casting workshop → aluminum bar extrusion workshop → aging workshop → packaging workshop → finished product warehouse

The aluminum billet Casting process

The goal of the casting process is to produce aluminum billets that meet the requirements. To produce these aluminum billets, the process is: melting → casting → billet sawing → aluminum billet homogenization → cooling, washing → aluminum billets into the warehouse.

1. Melting process in the melting and casting workshop:

Charging→melting→stirring completely melted→scraps charging→melted→completely melted→deslagging agent →skimming→stirring→sampling, pre-furnace analysis→Alloying → stirring → sampling, post-furnace analysis → composition adjustment → refining →skimming → standing

2. Casting

3. Billet cutting

4. Aluminum billets homogenization

5. Cooling, washing

Aluminum extrusion bar process

1. Aluminum billets heating, die heating and extrusion preparation work

2. Extrusion

3. Straightening

4. Cutting

5. Aluminum extrusion bar finished products
