In general, for custom aluminum extrusion, drawing aluminum profiles or samples aluminum profiles or new designs for aluminum projects, the tool off samples will be provided before the bulk extrusion run.

That is generally the case when we are working with new dies and new projects with our customers.

Before the bulk extrusion run, the tool-off samples will be sent to the customers for approval, so that they can make sure the dimensions, tolerance, and colored finishes are all perfect before mass production.

For the existing dies or running dies that we have already got or the customers who want to move their production to Honstar, in general, it is not necessary to produce the samples for the customers’ approval, as the die design and dimension and tolerance are already proven.

If they are needed, we can offer free samples for checking.

If the customer requests the samples, it is better to offer detailed requests, such as alloy and temper, the length, how many pieces, and what is the finish.

So that we can offer the exact samples to the customers.

Also, at the same time, we will hold off on the bulk extrusion run until the samples will be created and approved by the customer.

In general, the tool-off samples time will be 5-14 days from new die-cutting and samples got.

Aluminum extrusion run can be pushed back by around 7-10 days, depending on how quickly the customer approves the samples and send us the confirmation for the going-ahead bulk run.
